Arrived in Charleston today, which means I have added three more states to my travel statistics, officially at 18 now. Still can't believe that Lucy and I've been just around the corner from Iowa and didn't know.
I drove all the way from Hickory at once to reach the last ferry at the Fort Sumter Tour. All I have seen from Charleston until now is gorgeous, it is so southern and so cute. At the boat we had guardians guiding us to the Fort Island...dolphins all around
So far it has been summer and thunderstorms at night, but the hotel room is cozy and I can't wait to see more of the historic places tomorrow
