Wilde and the number 13.....

Yesterday when we were looking for somewhere to have dinner, I (Karyn) noticed a lit-up sign saying "Wilde 13"...........I got a little excited about this as it's not often that I see my surname anywhere much less in lights! Even more funny because in our family the number 13 is special as that is the number guernsey that my Uncle wore to play Australian Rules Football :-) Jana informed me that in Germany this sign refers to the train character from a childrens book. So I had to have a photo of course!!!

Hi, having a lovely time in Berlin! Having a BBQ this arvo!
Jana and I are still curious what a 500kg bomb could do damage-wise??

500KG bomb.......well dont really know but a fair amount i would think, you wouldnt want to be too close if it went off.......have any old WW2 bombs gone off in berlin in say the last 20 yrs??

Jana doesn't think so......there have been many found but mostly they have been able to defuse them before any damage. The main airport was closed earlier this year when they found one during construction and defused it. Found a story that one being defused in Goettingen killed 3 bomb disposal people earlier this year!
